I started patchwork and quilting in 1995 during a year spent in Canada and was immediately hooked. I then spent the next ten years combining my hobby with the demands of a career and family and developing my traditional patchwork skills.
But I had always wanted to become more creative and to design and make art quilts and in 2007 I took the plunge and began a City & Guilds Course with Annette Morgan. Four years later, after completing both the C&G Patchwork and Quilting Certificate and the Diploma, I was delighted that my work was selected to be displayed in the Further Education Gallery at the Festival Of Quilts in 2011.
Taking the City & Guilds courses has completely opened up a new world of skills and creativity for me and as a passionate advocate of C&G want to share my knowledge with others. I am pleased that I am now teaching at creative_stitch and took over from my former tutor Annette Morgan as Principal Tutor in September 2019
I have become a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE qualification awarded in 2014
